I love this kid. She is the best of me and the best of her dad, but none of our bad. She has never made a mistake, never hurt another person, never said something she regretted. She is so good, and I'm going to do my best to help her stay that way.

Having been an education major as an undergrad and a graduate student, I know a little about childhood development. It's important to me to use research-based best practices with my own daughter, but for the stuff that doesn't have any research behind it, I default to attachment parenting.

There will be different posts for the various aspects of parenting that are the most significant to me, and they will all be about my own daughter Madison, but you may be surprised to find posts on sleep training and playing with pitbull dogs next to posts about organic purees and cloth diapering. It may not all seem to fit together, but when you meet Madison in person you'll understand why I do what I do.
